School Chaplains

 Chaplaincy Commissioning Day

Our new members of the Chaplaincy Team went to meet the Bishop to be commissioned. They received their badges and met other children, who are chaplains, from other schools. They now join our current team and have strengthened our Chaplaincy in school.

Chaplaincy Training Day

Thursday 2nd November 2017

St. Osmund's was the host school for a training day for Chaplains. Chaplaincy Teams from our local Catholic cluster schools were invited to come along and learn how to be a Chaplain for their school. Anne Fowler, from the diocese, came to deliver this training. The Chaplaincy Team had a great day and met other children from other Catholic Schools in our community. It was even a special treat to see some of our year 6 pupils from last year. They looked very smart in their St. Joseph's school uniforms. We were also able to form an action plan for the year and we will be adding this to our web page, have a look out for it!

Our St. Osmund's Chaplaincy team have also been helping the rest of the school with their understanding of collective worship. They have led an assembly and even went to a staff meeting to help the teachers with this. The team are also running prayer group and have used posters to advertise this.
