School Day

• Start time: 8:40am – children line up in the playground when the bell rings.

• Finish time: 3:15pm

At the end of each major term (Christmas, Easter, and Summer), school closes early at 1:30pm.
At half-term breaks (October, February, and May), school finishes at the usual time of 3:15pm.

October Two-Week Half Term

In line with local secondary schools and our Attendance Procedures, we provide a two-week half term in October.

This arrangement:

• Allows families greater flexibility for holidays.

• Reduces the need for term-time absences.

• Avoids the disruption of “half-weeks” that can affect attendance and continuity of learning.

In 2025–2026, school will be closed to pupils as part of our staff development plan on the following dates:

• Monday 1 September 2025

• Monday 20 October 2025

• Wednesday 22 July 2026
